Preparation
prinkle the bottom of a salad bowl with salt and rub with the garlic. Add the oil, lemon juice, mayonnaise, mustard and pepper and stir with a wooden spoon until well blended.
Add the romaine, fennel, walnuts, capers and sliced eggs and toss lightly with a fork and spoon. If desired, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
